WIN an Autographed CD by J-Rock Band D!

J-Rock royalty talks music, fashion and winning their newest CD

Visual Kei band D played two concerts at PMX last weekend in Los Angeles, California. TOKYOPOP caught up with the J-rockers between their concerts to talk music, fashion and even Disneyland. D's new album Huang di ~Yami ni umareta mukui~, hits stores internationally Nov. 21st.

TOKYOPOP: How did the name D come about?

Asagi (vocalist): Passion! I'm joking; the name comes from the shape of the letter D. The first stroke of the letter D is a straight line, representing the strength of the inner core of a human. The second stroke is a curved line, which represents flexibility. You need both of these elements in life.

TP: What is the biggest difference between your Japanese fans and American fans?

A: American fans have more prevalent voices; they respond more during our shows. Their loud voices make more of an impression on us; their enthusiasm directly contribute to how we perform live on stage.

TOKYOPOP would like to thank Babel Entertainment for providing the autographed album for this giveaway.

Correction: A story on November 14th incorrectly stated the date of the Japanese Tsunami as May 11th rather than March 11th. The date has been corrected on the website and we apologize for the oversight.
