The Top 5 Movies That Would Have Been Better with George Takei

Oh my! Can you imagine the possibilities?

COMICSJeffrey - Let's get this straight (no pun intended): you make a comedy about gay dating life in New York that's aiming for broad appeal, cast a Star Trek actor as one of the leads...and it's Patrick Stewart? Balderdash!

COMICSDr. No - Be honest; some of you already thought he actually played the villain in this one, right?

COMICSThe Room - Nothing befits the dulcet tones of George in charge so much as utterly nonsensical dialogue, which is why we'd love to hear him speak such awfully awesome lines as, "I did not hit her, it's not true, it's bulls**t, I did not hit her, I did NOT. Oh hi Mark!" Admit it - you just heard him say that in your head right now, didn't you? And wasn't it great?

COMICSThe Karate Kid Remake - Getting Jackie Chan to replace Pat Morita was a good move for international box office, but hardly true to the spirit of the original, which worked magic in large part because it took an Asian-American supporting star from a retro TV series and made him look like a martial arts master. Um, hello?

COMICS(tie) Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: Nemesis and Star Trek (2009) - All the guy ever wanted was a movie or TV show starring Captain Sulu on the Excelsior. For a while, it was the only thing he ever talked about in public. And the best they could give him was a cameo on Voyager? For shame.
