Cobra Commander’s new look makes evildoing dapper

Did Destro and Cobra Commander have a sleepover? Because it looks like someone got a makeover!

Check out the new Cobra Commander who will be revealed in IDW’s new comic G.I. JOE: COBRA II, the first issue of which visits your pull list today. Picking up where 2009’s lauded G.I. JOE: COBRA left off, the new series finds the JOEs infiltrating the COBRA organization—and eventually running into their revamped leader. You’ll note that made-over Cobra Commander has fangs sprouting from the bottom of his mask like some sort of evil underbite. Plus he’s traded in his previous blue uniform for a snazzy turtleneck and blazer combo, which indicates that COBRA has perhaps gone business casual. The ensemble is offset by what looks to be a fearsome COBRA lapel pin. Though less battle ready then his previous uniform, the natty new outfit will no doubt be helpful if the next thing Cobra Commander attempts to take over is a college English department.
