Geek This Week: You Drive Mii Crazy

Also: Neverland ain't just a ranch, Middleman gets Doctored and Machinima plays games with us.

TVHooking Viewers - We've somewhat soured on the idea of sequels to Peter Pan, but Syfy's upcoming prequel, Neverland, has our inner child once again demanding not to grow up. Like X-Men: First Class, it gives us a world where a pre-Captain Hook (Rhys Ifans) and Peter (Charlie Rowe) were once friends, until larger-than-life circumstances, fairies and giant crocodiles came between them. And with Keira Knightley voicing Tinkerbell, we do believe in fairies! We do!

GAMESDriven to New Depths (and Heights) - Driving during the winter sucks. We'd like it a whole lot better if our cars could go underwater and hang-glide...which they totally can in Mario Kart 7, out Sunday. It'll be a while before you can do this sort of thing in real life, but in the meantime, you can play the game as a Mii, or watch kids get behind actual wheels in the adorable TV commercial.

TVA Very Middling Crossover - Javier Grillo-Marxuach has been accused of creating the closest thing we'll get to an American version of Doctor Who with his brilliant-but-cancelled series The Middleman. But this year, the confirmed Whovian made the greatest Christmas card a Middle-Nerd could ask for: a crossover between The Middleman, Wendy and The Eleventh Doctor. We can't wait for the sparks when Sexy and Ida come together.

GAMESOde to Joysticks - Now that the whole Oscar-host debate has crystallized, let's discuss the awards show we really care about: the Inside Gaming Awards.
