Booze-Soaked 'Toons

Imbibe and inspirit when Drinking and Drawing comes to Hollywood.

Not many things are dearer to our hearts than cartoons and cocktails. That's why we nearly feel off our barstool when Drinking and Drawing announced they're bringing their animated jam session to Hollywood on September 21.

Organized by Frederator Studios (Adventure Time, Channel Frederator), Drinking and Drawing is a creative collaboration session where animators and fans of the artform get together to make an original short cartoon. Between beers, participants are given note cards and asked to crank out frames in just ten minutes. All you know about your place in the narrative is a single drawing that came before. Sound like chaos? Hostess Bailee DesRocher can manage it; she knows a thing or two about mixing animation and alcohol from her work on web-series Cartoon Hangover.

Drinking and Drawing isn't just for animation pros, though plenty are sure to be present. You can contribute some work or hang back, relax and mingle with other tipsy 'toon makers.
