It’s an Intergalactic Slobberknocker!

Unleash your inner space monster in this latest AvP chapter

It’s been over three decades since we’ve learned that screams are inaudible within the confines of space, and more than 20 years since the eventual Governator discovered that a nice mudbath would protect you from a Predator. In Sega/Rebellion’s upcoming Aliens vs. Predator first-person shooter, available starting tomorrow on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii, we’re reminded that there’s nothing stale about these interstellar murderous monsters.

“We worked on the original AvP game back in 1999 so we have a history with the franchise,” said Tim Jones, Head of Art and Design at Rebellion. “With this new game, we’ve gone back to that classic experience and worked out how to bring it up to date to current gen consoles, creating a truly authentic Aliens and Predator experience.”

In this latest epic battle between the Aliens and Predators (the thirteenth game based on the franchise), players can take on the role of either an Alien, Predator or a Space Marine and jump right into a species-specific story campaign. Where AvP truly shines is in its numerous online, multiplayer games, like Infestation.

Infestation sees one player starting as an Alien and the rest as Marines," explained Jones. “The Alien then attacks the Marines, and each Marine it kills respawns as an Alien so it becomes a battle to be the very last Marine standing.”
