Franchises Vs. Flesh-Eaters

IDW's Infestation features Zombies vs. Captain Kirk, Optimus Prime, G.I. Joe, and the Ghostbusters.

Zombies may have goo-for-brains, but they still end up ruling the world in every story they star in. When their toughest prey of late has been the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, how hard can it really be? You can't Facebook-friend people to death, especially if they're already deceased.

But what if zombies attacked the starship Enterprise? Would Captain Kirk's patented dropkick be effective on a cannibal corpse? Could Ghostbusters accustomed to more spectral shenanigans get their streams crossed against ghouls that can't be grabbed?

Perhaps arch-villains would fare better. We've always thought Cobra's Baroness could probably crack a walnut between those tightly leathered-up thighs. Would she be able to pop the noggin off some lucky boogeyman's body with the same technique? Gruesome, yes. But what a way to go.

Find out today as IDW kicks off a massive zombie-flavored comics crossover event called Infestation. The action starts when CVO -- a team of government vampires -- inadvertently releases zombies into the worlds of Star Trek, G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters and Transformers. Because the universes themselves don't cross over, you won’t see Venkman ribbing Spock or Optimus head butting Destro. Beyond that, the possibilities are pop-culturally mind-boggling.

Drag your bones to your local comic store and consume Infestation today.
