Dinocroc vs Supergator!
Why can’t genetically mutated reptilian monsters ever just be friends?
In 2004, Roger Corman gave the world Dinocroc, a low-budget monster movie about a giant
prehistoric crocodile that was revived from ancient DNA and ran around on two
legs. Hurray! Then in 2007, Corman wanted to give the world Dinocroc
2, but no executives wanted to pay him for
it, so instead he changed Dinocroc’s name to Supergator and next thing you know
a giant reptile that looked suspiciously similar to Dinocroc was running around
eating people in Hawaii. Hurray again!
Well, obviously now those two beasts have to fight. And they
will Saturday night at 9 pm when the delightfully low-budget Dinocroc vs
Supergator debuts on SyFy. Awesomely
starring in the monster mash is the late David Carradine, who is probably very
proud that he got to act in this film before passing away. Judging by the
amazing trailer, there are also some other humans in the movie, but, don’t
worry, most of them get eaten alive. And the ones who don’t get fully eaten are
at least bit in half.
As Dinocroc vs Supergator’s tagline promises “Whoever wins… we lose!” Just because that same tagline
was already used by Aliens vs Predator does not make it any less true.
