Star Wars 3D Geek this Week: Droid Deliverer

Plus: lightsabered lines, Death Star dress-up and bound backstories.

TOYSTank a Gas - Hasbro always say they need a movie year to make the big toys. Well, guess what...The Phantom Menace 3D makes this a movie year, and the huge honking vehicle you're getting is the Trade Federation MTT, filled with 20 folded-up Battle Droids. Does this mean when we get to Return of the Jedi 3D, a sail barge might finally be in order? Think not of the future at the expense of the living present, young Padawan...

EVENTSA Coruscant Line - Just ask Bart Simpson - doing lines can be tedious punishment unless you get creative with them every time. Thankfully, Star Wars fans know how to make the wait worthwhile. Times change, but queues don't; observe our galleries of the Wars waits for each new theatrical episode over the years.

GEARCostume Customs - What Star Wars week would be complete without some creative cosplay? TOKYOPOP has a round-up of some of the most far, far out there outfits inspired by the saga, from samurai Stormtroopers to giant Jawas. Some stay faithful, while others bring "unbalanced" to the Force. But we prophesy you liking them all.

COMICSPaging Mr. Skywalker - Dead trees make effective Dagobah testing grounds in which to fight your evil double, but we prefer seeing 'em made into comics. This month, there are some great Star Wars picks to choose from Dark Horse, be it the new origin tale Dawn of the Jedi, or Star Wars Omnibus: A Long Time Ago...Volume 5, the final trade paperback of original-era Marvel reprints. Their skinny, whiskered Jabba the "Hut" still cracks us up. For the rest of our comic book picks this week, check out the Comic Book Day Pull List.
